Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Drive shaft alignment & sopport.

But then again, there've been divers die on a lot of rigs, including plain ol' SCUBA.  There may have been a few deaths on the ELECTROLUNG, but there was an English rig called the INSPIRATOR or something like that, and it was involved in something like 15 or 20 fatalities.  In all fairness to Walter Starck, it should be remembered the E-Lung was the first of its kind, and trailblazing is frequently dangerous.

OK, I'm going to submerge for another 6 months or so..............

I am also interested in the "discussions". It would be interesting in knowing how many people died using the Electrolung.

I think flame wars are interesting to a point but egos and personalities get in the way of pure discussion.

I have found the arguments over the past few days most interesting and
informative however feel I must comment. With regard to Dr Walter Stark's
statements I would suggest those interested check on his past achievements
as the developer of the Electrolung and many other underwater technology
achievements. He has quite a track record. Secondly - having been involved
with the old Pisces submersibles and  ROV technology I would suggest those
interested study  what has worked in the past  and keep it simple!!! Why
re-invent the wheel! However am enjoying the argument.
