Sorry, can't hold back any longer.
You are both obviously inteligent guys with relevant experience. You are
both of the opinion that electric is a simpler option for propulsion. That
said why get hot under the collar if subquandry wants to have a play with
hydraulics. Maybe he makes hydraulics for a living, maybe he's got a heap of
surplus parts sitting around. Practical or not FREE always moves it up the
list for me :-)
You both know the pro's and con's, and subquandry has i'm sure got all the
info he wants for now. Wether one is better or not is irrelevant. Any
technical application is only as good as it's last improvement. Who knows if
we work out how to build a boat big enough and find a crew crazy enough to
sail to the end of the world we might prove the world is round!

As for the pissimg contest there are a couple of sites on the net that would
pay good money for footage of that so if you let me know where and
when.......
