Mike-I have had a lot of experience with night vision devices and have one of my own. Mine is the image intensification type with an infrared capability. With the image intensification, existing light is magnified several thousand times. I am unfamiliar with any dedicated U/W NVDs but would bet the farm Naval Special Warfare at Little Creek Va. or Coronada, California would have plenty. I see no reason why an existing image intensifier could not be adapted for U/W use. Never thought about it before but might be very interesting. Make up a housing for a hand held device or some sort of helmet mounted,waterproofed, version of night vision goggles. Hmmmmmmmm. Mark Steed
