 Laurent,  Know that you mention it ...your correct solid works was an easy program to learn, (at least back in 1998 it was.) I even think I have a copy that was given to me to evaluate.
  At the time that I used it the 3-D capabilities were not as good as Mechanical Desktop, but maybe they have gotten better.
