Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Aluminum
The metal components of JSL-1 & 2 are aluminum including the DLO compartment.
These were built by Harbor Branch Foundation. In the early days (1964)
Reynolds Aluminum (as in "wrap")provided the aluminum ingots for the
ALUMINAUT which as built by Electric Boat Company. The material was
7079-T6...depth rating was 8,000 fsw.
