Good one, Ian. Could come in real handy.
Another useful trick: if a diver puts his ear up against a hull as thin as
mine is, he can hear me shouting inside. If he inflates a dive glove and
shouts into it while it's up against the hull; or if he shouts while his
full-face mask is pressed against the hull or viewport; I can hear him.
At first, our sub-to-support crew communications consisted of yelling. This
time around, however, we've got two-way surface radio, a surface /
underwater PA system; and a HELLEPHONE between the sub and one diver.
Obviously, I think this kind of equipment is good to have aboard.
