Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] external Motors for depths of 1000ft

Rob,
the motors are attached and work by pairs on each side . forward / reverse
I do not use the motor guide controllers but one of mine, for the 4 motors a
single controller 36 V 275 amps for variable speed and a swicthing system
which allows me to activate the 2 pairs separatly, both forw, both rev, or 1
side forward 1 side rev.
they are pressure compensated , but i tested one with no air pressure
compensation to 140 ft and it did not leak, i presume with time it would
eventually leak.
For ascents and descents i use either dive plans or a variable buoyancy tank
my subs are designed to have max trim angle of 10 degrees but in normal use
5 degrees,
i successfully tested one once at 70 degrees, what a ride !! for an ambient
sub that a performance beleive it.
