[PSUBS-MAILIST] Under Water Lighting
Thanks a lot for the replies.
The light enclosure isn't a problem. I can design and fabricate that.
The root of my question is; what's the best lamp to use?
Is it better to have a focused light or a flood light?
Are the requirements different in murky water than in water with more
visibility?
Is one type of light source, halogen, regular old incandescent, high
intensity discharge, or something else best for under water lighting?
I have no under water lighting experience, but thinking about driving in
fog; is more candle power necessarily better? In a small sub,
especially in lake water where it's most likely more murky, is it wise
to go with high candle power? If the extra candle power isn't a help,
why drain the batteries?
Thanks, Dan H.
