[PSUBS-MAILIST] rogerrabbit k350
ray
thank you for posting the k350 photos
i sent.
only one small problem in that the way it reads
it looks as if i am the owner/restorer
i'm very flattered but it's not my sub
just one that i have been researching
and photographing.
i think it belongs to a company called tallacks
windscreens
and was for sale twelve months ago for around
£30,000.
it was originally one of a pair.a k250 and a
k350
bought by a man called joe davis in
brighton.
this was around 1978/1979
joe set up "the brighton submarine
school"
offering pilot courses.
which consisted of three hours or so of theory in
the classroom
followed by a dive in the marina and finally an
open sea dive .
all for around £90.
apparently the K350 was never comissioned and was
used
topside to familiarise people with the sub and it's
controls etc.
somewhere i have an original poster for the
submarine school
given to me by alan whitfield of silvercrest
submarines
as soon as i find it i'll send it on.
regards roger
