Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] pressure hull sizing

Actually, I've been wondering about this system for a while.
when you bleed oxygen into the cabin, does the cabin pressure not go up? And if so, how do you evacuate the exess pressure from inside the cabin to bring it back down to 1ATM?

thanks for putting up with my dumb questions ;)

Most likely the air support will be a recirculated air line w/ o2 being bled in and co2 scrubbers in the system. The o2 will be held in spherical tanks outside my main pressure hull, and the scrubber perhaps underneath the seat(s). The air would drawn out through a vent into the scrubbing system, then mixed with a line coming from the o2 tanks. The o2 bleed could maybe be set at a constant rate, or computer controlled to keep a fixed amount in the cabin.
That's about as much as I've thought out so far. Any suggestions?
