Yow! I used to pick up these (don't know about what steel grade) from a local
manufacturer (since moved) for scrap price (5 cents a lb) to make birdbaths.
They had only cosmetic blemishes (some unnoticable--maybe wrong sized). When
you find a source, you might inquire about cosmetic rejects.

If for a psub door, remember Phil Nuytten's posts some time back about
reinforcing a flat plate door with cross-bars welded on top to be just as good.
