Holy Mackerel...fact is that you will need some serious lighting at that
depth.  Maximum clear vision, on a clear day, in clear waters would probably
be around 15 feet?  Beyond that, I'm just not sure.

I agree. But the old WWII boats were allways "blind". Didnīt the ?
And CSSX has some amazing problems to check the surface for  free surfacing and I guess there are some other subs unable to check the water above them...

The philosophical question is: what Iīm "looking" for ?
For having much fun togehter with clown painted fishes I prefer snokeling or scuba diving ...

but remembering a cold winterday ... diving for my old arceological society in a pretty mudded river  ( two hand sight)... searching for old bones and skulls  (from poor people were butchered in the 30 years war) .. I was so glad to bear a full mask, drysuit, gloves ... full isolated from this gruesome scenes !!!
I would never ever dive in such a spot only dressed with trunks.....
But within my own "suit-sub" I had some pleasure to find the remaining bones.... "He scelletor...donīt try to trick me !!! I found your skull , found your legs.. I know you try to hide something more from me ...)"

What about deeps more than 100 feet in the baltic sea ??? Do you really want to sit in the first row ???
I was never in a sub with a acrylic dome but to form the idea from sitting in a non vissible sphere only dressed with normal clothes scarry me....

What say your experiences ???
