Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] no-one prepared to comment

I'll comment,
Brent, there's a big difference between springing a leak in a PVC pipe
carrying water through your house and a PVC pipe carrying water air or
anything else through a sub. As long as your with in the burst pressure
of the pipe, using it for house hold water is no problem. The worst
that a water leak at home will cause is some soggy plaster. In a sub it
could cost your life! Why fool around with plastic pips? Stainless
tubing is just as easy to work with, considering you can bend it to fit
the shapes and contours needed. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's
burst pressure is ten times that of PVC, depending on the sizes you
compare. I know I'll still be alive even if my HP regulator fails using
stainless. With PVC, if you survive the over pressuring in your hull,
you'll be removing shards of plastic pipe with a pair of forceps. If
you have the money to build a sub, why not do it right? Why fool around
with the cheep stuff and take a chance with safety?

Just MY comment, Dan H.
