[PSUBS-MAILIST] Imploding cylinders

Recent psub discussions on cylinder strength and implosions prompt me to
mention something of possible interest on this topic.  The current issue
of Golden Dolphin Video CD Magazine contains an interesting feature
called "Implozion Art" on imploded aluminum cylinders being created as
art pieces.  A guy named Scott Wagner who runs one of the leading ROV
companies servicing the offshore oil industry is the creator of the
pieces.  He was inspired by some of their equipment that had imploded at
great depths.  The story includes a high res multimedia slide show of
some of the pieces and includes a video clip of cylinders imploding.
There are also several images of massive cylindrical structual elements
of offshore rigs that have imploded.
