RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Convention regatta

Although a video camera mounted on the outside/inside of anyone's sub would be the best way to let everyone enjoy the sub (without having to let a bunch of strangers go for a joy-ride), I don't see an easy way to get a wireless video feed to the surface.

If someone could put together an underwater telephone which could be easily moved from sub to sub, I think it would go a long way to making this event look safer (and it would be a great way for the 'simpler' subs to try out a new type of equipment).

I really really like the idea of an underwater 'find-and-identify' race course.

Alas, I have no sub of my own to bring.  Other matters are more pressing at the moment.

Might be useful to get one of those wireless video cams that are always being
advertised on web popups, or perhaps a competitor. If viable underwater, it
could be mounted inside the sub (in waterproof case maybe) to provide safety
monitoring, backup to the telephone.
