thanks! your calculation seems close or equal too mine,,i knew a gallon 
equaled .133681 cubic feet and a cubic foot of sea water weighs about 64 lbs 
so i just did the multiplacation and got 3208.392 lbs of bouyancy..thanks for 
your help im still in the very early stages of figuring out how i intend to 
procide,the walls of the propane tank are .248 inches thick,i was under the 
impression that this thickness would  suffice at the limited depth of 100 
feet with  internal ribs.  thanks for the info,,bill vreeland
