First, In California, I can't put the plate on the front anyway since
California requires a plate in front and rear. However, I would consider
putting it as an additional plate on my boat trailer which would balance
the rear appearance of the trailer with a plate on both sides.
Second, If I could place it on the front of my car, I wouldn't if it
were a color that adversly contrasts with my car color which is green.
With state plates that colors do not compliment the car color, we are
stuck but it blends in better since ALL the cars have the same problem.
But with an alternate plate, we have a choice.
License plates are not billboards competing with blue sky background. I
still vote for White with blue lettering which will pretty much look
nice on any colored car.
