Glass booth?  No, but lots of Formica and Aluminum. There are plexiglass 
covers over some doorways these days to keep tourists out.

Other than salads and such, the officers ate the same food food we enlisted 
guys did. The stewards just came back to the galley and picked it up. 

All the Diesel and Nuke boats have electric galleys. I don't think 
combustable/explosive gases have any place inside pressure hulls; that's why 
the move from gasoline to diesel about WWI. Considering power 
requirements in even a large Psub like Carsten's, a microwave seems like the 
way to go; although, if you're in colder waters and/or only cook on the surface 
with the diesel running a small electric stove makes sense (the heat has to 
come from somewhere).

We ate real well on Torsk.
