Yeah, they were high: six our of seven didn't come back?  

But it might not have saved him.  Think about sitting in a small
camp with the guys YOU put there when you couldn't flush the
toilet.  I bet no one ever quite forgave him.

I hadn't thought of that.  The experience must have given
him an interesting tale to tell his children ....
