Hi -
I know exactly what ad you are talking about. I actually built my own out
of cardboard but it was never as cool as the one in the comic books. This
was the same company that sold the fake doggie do- etc. I think it was
Johnson company.
I saw them in Archie comic books - I am not sure who the publisher was.

I know a fanatical comic book collector who might be able to help out. Can
you recall what
company's comics this ad appeared in, what characters starred? DC, Marvel,
etc all had different
sets of sponsors - also advertisers might have used say Superman but not
Batman.
Yes, it sounds like a silly question, but if we can narrow down the search
then I would be happier
asking my friend.
