Interesting Ray,
This sub is a high power inflatable raft thats speeds on the water, then
submerges by deflating its air chambers and runs on electric thrusters.
To surface the crew blow the air chambers, start the engine  and speeds off.
This sub is actually a "wet" sub.
I have pictures if someone is interested.
I am surprised that the Britts want to test a US model since they
(secretely) use and build themselves this kind of vessels for their special
forces since at least 20 years.
The Seamagine sub (dry sub) uses also inflatable chambers for high buoyancy,
this design allows the sub to have the same displacement surfaced and
submerged.
