The ticket is this: a border which contrasts with the dominant background color will set it off
nicely on any color sub, trailer, or car. The border might match the lettering or sub image, for
lots of good reasons - contrast, repro costs, avoiding visual distraction/busyness being some of
them.
A yellow submarine would be clever but too cutesy IMHO, blaze orange seems right though. Avoid
haze gray or black, they suggest military uses only. White looks cheap.
There ya go, unsolicited and overly asserted, just my style of opinion.
