I agree.
. "Whoever reproduces or publishes this should be very wary about it"
More correctly, those without clear entitlement should cease and desist.
" If you want to shut down a conversation about intellectual property

Actually, I wasn't the one who first suggested taking this conversation
offline; Doug did that when I cited authorities he couldn't refute. But my
feelings on this are: (1) taking something that does not belong to you
without permission is theft; and (2) if anyone were to make such accusations
against myself, I can prove the things I've done have always been
legitimate.
" I don't know who's right."
Precisely. And neither do "they". Yet, without clear entitlement, they are
proceeding anyway; and my point is "that's wrong".
"After years of working around government and private copyright issues, I'm

So, does this mean you wrote this at work? ;-)
" Regardless, this issue will not be decided on an email list."
John, I didn't bring this issue to the email list; I am only expressing my
feelings about it, which many others have already done. That's what this
thread has been all about from the start. Going back over it, what has been
proven is that it's wrong to take what is not yours without permission, and
those at PSUBS wanting to republish MANNED SUBMERSIBLES don't have clear
authority. All the rest of it is "verbalflage".
Good luck with your submarine.
