The Gavin, like the Predator and a couple others, are basically Techna/Mako
motors (often rewound for more speed, but that's another story), repackaged
to make room for more batteries. I am told they all use the stock
Teckna/Mako seals configuration, since they are more-or-less integral to
the motor. The Farallon uses what the rep described as an "off the shelf"
motor but wouldn't elaborate.

The Gavin and its emulators mostly use 10" PVC water pipe for the body. The
Predator, and (I think) the Farallon are aluminum.

If anyone knows more, by all means let us know.
