Even in theory if the crewmen in the damaged compartment could get a EAB and make it to a manifold the foam would surround them and protect them until the time that they could be removed from the foam. Woke with this idea the other day and am sure it might be useful in some way. had heard that people have raised ships with ping pong balls before.
