Automatically?

These vent the air spaces themselves, and are not hooked to the regulator
exhaust?

Maybe I made it sound more complex than it is. All I'm really doing to
correct the problem is mounting the controller, batteries, and motor in
closer proximity (like they are on the stock unit), and extending the
control lever with a linkage rod up to where I can reach it at the pilot's
station. Pretty simple, really.

I didn't think it would matter with the stock MK components; but the techs
say they think this is the source of my trouble. I'm not in a position to
make my own controller at this time; pretty much stuck with the stock unit;
so the easiest remedy is to return the leads to near stock length, and keep
my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I vaguely remember a conversation we had a while ago about
controllers. Seems to me you might be able to improve on stock MK
performance. If I get a "Monster", the first thing I'll try is using the
stock units with near-stock lead lengths and see how it goes. Don't be
surprised if I have questions about custom made controllers in the future,
however! ;-)
