According the Bellona Foundation site, some think that it was a
"pilot error" (Bellona's choice of words) that caused the ship to
hit the bottom. NATO reports say that NATO ships heard two
"detonations" at the time the sub sank. My money is on a
combination of the two.

And if they are operating, is the scrubber chemical in them?
