I was being tactful, a flooded motor with brushes will always destroy the 
brushes. The motor will run for a while just as a flooded lead acid battery 
will work for a while in sea water. Imagine how long your starter motor will 
last in an oil environment.

I agree with you about the SCUBA regulator even though I don't want to choke 
you to death to conserve air. ( Please recognize that as a joke.)
