[PSUBS-MAILIST] Sub Simulator

Suds,

I have been building flight simulators for the Navy (DoD) since 1986 and have
extensive experience in most aspects of the design: software, visual systems,
motion systems, and most recently mechanical design and fabrication. The
differences between high fidelity flight simulators and the modern video
game/ride are becoming less distinct. Visual systems have come a long way
since '86, as have small motion systems and I have personal points of contact
with most such vendors.

The idea for building a sub simulator has a lot of merit. If you're designing
for the gaming community then of course a sport sub would be the best product
- not a lot of thrill in putzing around at half a knot trying to squint
through the silt! Are you envisioning some sort of "James Bond Underwater
Rescue?" A high speed assault on Doctor Crabbe's Carribean Underworld to save
the voluptuous Octopussy?

Get in touch with me. We may be able to go somewhere with this idea. If not
then it is sure to spawn off a whole slew of other marketable ideas.

Danny

Were you a Nuke?

Hey guys, here's an Idea: I just spent $10 for a ride in a NASCAR simulator.
I'd like to build a sports sub out of fiber glass and make it rotate on 2
axis, maybe three. Add sound and videos of a nice reef, and I'd be in
business. What do you guys think? I could sell it to arcades.
Sorry, haven't had much time for you guys, been trying to recoup my market
loses,
Suds
