Why do you have to be done by July?

I also wonder what stops the sub from going deeper than 30 feet? Submarine 
races? If that is your depth limit, I hope you didn't have the buoyancy 
problems I had.

PS I was going to suggest the archives with your question about the viewport. 
Incidentally, if you use polycarbonate you would end up with a lot more 
durable viewport. I have rammed bottom several times with no problems. Except 
I shouldn't have rammed bottom. The problem with absorbed water vapor would 
be worse though and would require a longer bake cycle. Good luck.
