#1 The gun topic grew out a the "PSUB Fatalities...View Ports...Shatterproof"
      thread.

#2 The list administrator did not object.

#3 Most people on the list dealt with the topic with constraint.

#4 The topic cycle pretty much has been over for a while.

#5 The thread "Survival Gear (AND GUNS!)" is not "GUNS" per se, and is sub
      related.

#6 The thread "I didn't write that last e-mail!!!!!!" was about Paul's wife
      being wifely, I think.

#7 People objecting to the "GUNS" thread have been as big a diversion as the
      thread.

#8 If this is only about rebreathers we are all off topic most of the time.
