Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Re: Launching at the boat ramp

Hi,

Occasionally in a day dream state I think it would be neat to put treads on
a PSUBS like that German experiment. They were having trouble finding/building
appropiate launch sites and carrying the beasts accross beaches was a pain.

The thought was to park my trailer. Drive off the trailer and down the ramp and be
gone. No messing around with backing and offloading and loading at the ramp.

Even better would be a James Bond car. What fun it would be at the ramp to have
a car drive down the ramp and sink. ;)

Then a few hours later drive back up the ramp admist a team of County Sheriff
Rescue Divers looking the the body of that fool in the car that must of drowned.

Then reality sets in. Treads create a whole new set of problems and complexity
that I am not sure I want to deal with right now. I would be happy with
just a functional sub that launches the normal way then a dream.

Regards,
Ray
