     I was thinking just shove a little electric motor
and prop into either a PVC or a steel tube, tack on
some fins to make it go in generally one direction,
and a foam tip to soften the impact enough so all the
target gets is a little "thud".  Build it with a
little trigger or a timer to either drop some weight
or blow some compressed air into it to make it a
floater at the appropriate time....how's it sound?
