I'm sorry - I didn't remember that discussion. A blower is or at least 
was a common method for purging the main ballast tanks of naval 
submarines once the air induction trunk had cleared the surface. The 
alternative was a low-pressure bilge pump. Is that the plan - use 
compressed air to reach the surface, then a blower to finish the 
process? I don't see why it wouldn't work. Or were you planning to use 
the small volume of 1 atm air inside the sub as the source?
