Jon,the motor controller should have over-current protection.Have a look at it's specs.However if there is not a reset on the motor controller & you are waiting for a component to cool before everything starts up again, it may pay to have a circuit breaker on the positive. For example if you were motoring in to a harbour where you were navigating around boats, & a thruster got clogged with weed and drew too many amps, it may be critical to just quickly reset a circuit breaker & continue on at a lower power.Alan
