Rick,
Sean's suggestion of finding a machine shop that can do the in-situ
machining to enlarge your viewport frame would probably produce the least
amount of hassle. That's assuming there will be enough metal left on the
perimeter flange after the machining process.
If you have access to Jerry Stachiw's book "Handbook of Acrylics" it would
certainly be worth the read . It goes into great detail outlining the
recommended procedures for fabricating, machining and then annealing. A
second annealing isn't out of the question ...it just must be done at
carefully controlled lower temperatures.
If you decide to go with reducing the diameter of the acrylic viewport ,
one possible company that might be able to help you is "
