Hi Alan,
For sure they are a bit upscale in terms of price however CO2 readings are sensitive to temp and relative humidity...O2 readings are sensitive to pressure and temperature. The units I opted for include those additional sensors internally and factor them into the output automatically, which was important to me for accuracy. Given that they both have a greater than 5 year life span, the amortized cost is around $50/year which I found acceptable.

However I am not an expert and wouldnt know if they are good quality. They are compatible with Arduino etc. You could buy 3 at that price & compare the readings to indicate when they fail. Have a spare one to just unplug and replace.Alan
