Likely not much help, but ... I went with Motorguide 45 lb side thrusters, oil compensated. They're easy to take apart to drill and tap. There's a guy on eBay selling just the motors for $90.00.  To that you'll add props and the mount if you haven't the ability to turn one. Or use an online service to make your mounting shafts if you want to go that route.

I have an extra one for on the road they were so cheap.
