Hank,
I have vague memories of seeing literature from a major acrylic manufacturer
that covered forming techniques & pressure required for forming at differing
thicknesses; that would be handy to seek out to know what pressures are involved
for clamping the material.
What diameter is this 5" thick view port?
Are you going to have a room like Emile's where you heat & press in the same area?
