Hank,
I used to be obsessed with art before I discovered submarines, so like to
think of the submarine from the aesthetic view point. And they do get a
lot of attention from the public.
However you can't compromise the function of the sub & as you pointed
out you are limited to designs that restrict entanglement.
I have been keeping a file of futuristic cars & space ship to inspire my
design.
I am not sure what the flat sides in your mock up are for.
