Joe,
The U-Boat pens are still there. I just happened to see a
documentary/tour on them about a month ago. They're so massive they're almost impossible
to remove. In France alone they contain 4.4 million cubic meters of
concrete. 12-foot thick roofs and walls are pretty durable.

I tend to think they must be there, too many movies have featured at least
one unless it was a rigged set.

No, England till 26th.
Went to the Cherbourg submarine museum in Normandy on the way.
Well worth the visit & have taken oodles of photos.
