[PSUBS-MAILIST] Fwd: Analytical Hull Drag Techniques

Hi Doug,

No, I do not have any software tools for streamlining. Most of the work in
this area is probably classified. :)

I am Cc'ing the PSUBS group to see if anyone there can help you.

Regards,
Ray

Ray,

I found your submarine web site while looking for software which would
allow me to make a good approximation of friction and pressure drag on a
submarine hull I am designing. The shape is streamlined, so cylindrical
approximations are not realistic. Do you happen to have any software tools
in this area of know of a good text with suitable algorithyms.

I am leading a team of mechanical engineers designing a flooded, human
powered submarine for an ASME design competition. These boats are capable
of close to seven knots.

Thanks,

Doug
