In which case, why not try the old Perry trick? 12" PVC pipe with aluminum 
endcaps with a rabbited flange for the O-rings? We used to run the wiring 
harness through tygon tubing to potted switches and to the thrusters. Piece 
of cake. Agricultural engineering at its finest.
