RE: I got an idea, Lets talk about subs now.



I refer to either gel or AGM. I'm fine with the inert gas idea, yet I'm
hoping its not necessary if there is absolutely no source of sparks
(switches, motors, etc.) The design calls for a battery compartment with no
such sources, plus its external just in case.

However, what is essential in this design is the ability to invert the
battery. This is a Deep Flight-like design. For this reason I can't use
"normal" batteries, they cannot be inverted.

Another possibility altogether would be DRY batteries, but I haven't
researched those yet -- by all accounts lead-acid is still more efficient.
