Boat? or Ship?

In German it translates as 'unterzee Boten' or literally undersea boat.
All I know is I had a relationship with a beautiful 'Lady' and the
sweetest sound I ever heard [on the USS Nautilus] was the sound of the
MBTs venting to dive. She rang like a bell in a cathedral.
Speaking of sounds, anyone know if anyone sells surplus old-time diving
alarms (Ah-ooo-gah)
