I understand.
You basically want to take a 90 degree section from each side of a piece of
the pipe. When you're done, from the side, it will look like an elongated
hemisphere, and from the top, it will look like a wedge.
If you think about it from the top, it's easier.

You're going to cut a "X" through the pipe, where the segments of the X are
at 90 degrees to each other. You will use the sections marked in the above
diagram with **.
Is that correct?
