Oh yeah! When a new diving officer, or one you didn't like, would be
on watch you'd wait until he go all trimmed up and then a bunch of
people, in ones and twos, would head forward for the forward torpedo
room. Even ten people would be about a ton and the boat would start to
be bow heavy and require up angle on the planes to hold depth. This
was especially fun at periscope depth when a foot or two was critical.
Bonus points if you could get the Capt to yell at the diving officer.
About the time he'd get re-trimmed people would start to drift aft for
the after torpedo room and the fun would resume.
