For anyone interested in an alternative I can provide a cookbook to 
build an electronic barometer for about $90 but you'll have to put it 
together yourself.  It's simple and only requires basic soldering 
skills.  You end up with a monitor having a resolution of .1 psi but in 
software we can translate that to bar, millibar, inches mercury, or any 
other format you might want.
