Jon, I've thought I would start a thread asking about the pros and cons of elliptical versus hemispherical heads on a cylindrical hull. However it might be a portion of a broader presentation on hull design at the convention.  Cliff could certainly handle that if he plans to attend.  I wish I had some expertise to offer.

Technical sessions for the 2012 convention will be held August 10 at the
Great Lakes Naval Memorial & Museum in Muskegon, MI.  We are seeking
speakers on a wide range of topics including submarine
design/fabrication/operations, equipment, safety, standards/guidelines,
underwater exploration, or any other topic related to submersibles or
