Are you concerned about the mild steel mixing with the stronger pressure hull
steel and weakening it? I doubt that it would affect the pressure hull that
much if you are using the correct electrode for the pressure hull. A welding
inspector may know. I wish I knew the answer. This more of an engineering
question because a welder just puts the two pieces of metal together with the
specified electrode as the design says.
